Song: Superman
Artist: Quique González
Album: Pájaros Mojados
Genre: Rock, Spanish
Year: 2002Another great spanish singer-songwriter. At this song he mixes some rock, jazz and cabaret music, which is a clear reflexion of his composition ability. Check out lyrics, very funny XD.

Yokko Kanno - Fish ~ Silent Cruise
Song: Fish ~ Silent Cruise
Artist: Yoko Kanno
Album: Ghost In The Shell - Stand Alone Complex
Genre: Instrumental, Electronic, Sountrack
Year: 2004As I've already said, I love anime sountracks. It is a genre not exploited at all at my country (Spain) and also not well known. I guess that's why they don't export too much stuff and it's really hard to find anything. That's why I wanted to post another song ofYokko Kanno.

Song: Alive And Kicking
Artist: Simple Minds
Album: The Best Of Simple Minds
Genre: Rock
Year: 2002This oldie song can be another perfet example of a composition that grows up all along the interpretation. "Here it comes the big bang" must be what they should had been thinking while they played it live.

Mazzy Star - Into Dust
Song: Into dust
Artist: Mazzy Star
Album: So tonight that I might see
Genre: Alternative Rock
Year: 2003Again a sad song... I'm sorry but I love them. It's out of question that the perfect moment when you can express all your feelings is when you're sad, when you want to say everything you have inside or (let's say it properly) when you need to do it. So... again a griefy song.

Song: Patience
Artist: George Michael
Album: Patience
Genre: Pop
Year: 2003That George Michael is one of the best man voices nowadays is out of question. And that he still can make sensitive songs from the heart is proved on this album. Listen carefully to the lyrics of the song: what a complaint.

Artist: Alter Bridge

Genre: Hard Rock
Year: 2004A good hard-rock band, sponsored by Creed (the truth is that they sound very similar to them). I don't like really much how they sound live, but on studio they are powerful.

Song: Baby did a bad bad thing
Artist: Chris Isaak
Album: Forever blue
Genre: Rock
Year: 1995Chris Isaak is mostly know for his ballad Wicked Game (one of my favourite songs, I admit it) but this song should have the same acknowledgement. It's pure rock on the most expresion of his meaning (It was also used on the last fim of Stanley Kubrick, Eyes Wide Shut; the scene where Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman are making love in front of the mirror).

Ben Charest - Bach à la jazz
Song: Bach à la jazz
Artist: Ben Charest
Album: Les Triplettes de Belleville Soundtrack
Genre: Soundtrack, Jazz
Year: 2004One of the best animated movies I've ever seen also had to play great music. For exaple, I couldn't realise what can be composed with a vacuum cleaner, a fridge, a newspaper and the spokes of a bicycle wheel until I listened Cabaret aspirateur (track 12), just three voices, the spokes again and some clapping hands of Sous le pont or the cabaret's like Belleville Rendez-Vous (track 2). Their rhythm keeps your feets moving on and on. But above all I love the hole jazz played on the rest of the soundtrack (you can listen to the posted track as a great exaple).

Jimmy Eat World - Just tonight
Song: Just tonight
Artist: Jimmy Eat World
Album: Futures
Genre: Alternative Rock
Year: 2004As time has passed by, Jimmy Eat Wotld has grown up as a great alternative rock band. Their album Bleed American was, for me, the beginning of what they could become and at this album they have confirmed all rumours. They have more strenght, more consistency and better lyrics. You can't miss this track: restrained anger.

Paul Oakenfold - The harder they come
Song: The harder they come
Artist: Paul Oakenfold
Album: Bunkka
Genre: Electronic
Year: 2003Since the day a friend of mine lend me this album I can say that Paul Oakenfold is one of the best electronic music composers I've ever heard (I'm not gonna enter into giving my opinion about how are his live sesions 'cause it would take me too long... let's just say that he's simply awesome). Considered now the eighth best dj in the world and with the status as the world's most successful Dj, Oakey (that's how their close friends call him) is as much responsible as anyone for making Ibiza the clubber's paradise it is today and everybody will recognize his subsequent labour of introducing house music in the UK on 80's.
(Artist official web) (People opinions at Amazon.com)
But at this album you'll find a lot of genres mixed with electronical music (from hip-hop to orchestral music), not another incredible live session, which just emphasizes how good he is. The most lovely track is The harder they come, in which Nelly Furtado is in charge of the voice.

Sarah Bettens - All of this past
Song: All of this past
Artist: Sarah Bettens
Album: Underworld Soundtrack
Genre: Soundtrack, Alternative Rock
Year: 2003Awesome dark and emotional song. You can't imagine what can be composed with a piano, a bass, and some violins played (all of them) in slow motion, helped with some electronic background music. But above all stands out Sarah Bettens voice: it's aside everything else. Sometimes whispering, sometimes breathless. She just left you completely speechless.

Foo Fighters - A320
Song: A320
Artist: Foo Fighters
Album: Godzila Soundtrack
Genre: Soundtrack, Rock
Year: 1998 Everybody knows Foo Fighters, they are a great band and all their albums are really good. Dave Groll has had been able to forget any comparations between their group and Nirvana on everyones mind composing great songs (and do not coming to a standstill at only one genre while they are still growing as a band, which is quite admiarable).
(Artist official web) (People opinions at Amazon.com)
I could had posted any other well known song of Foo Fighters (like Hero, All my life, Best of you, Times like these, Monkey Wrench, Hero, February Stars, Everlong, Walking after you, Leart to fly, ...) but I would like to emphasize this one, made exclusively (I guess so) for this soundtrack. I love songs who start smoothly and the keep growing and growing 'till the end where they finish on an explosively way, and this song is a great example (helped with those sweet violins).
