The Cult - Nico
Song: Nico
Artist: The Cult
Album: Beyond Good And Evil
Genre: Hard Rock
Year: 2001This historical band came back with a fantastic album after a long long time retired. Eaven though they have not lost a shred of their power, I wanted to post the slower song of the album.

My Chemical Romance - Romance
Song: Romance
Artist:My Chemical Romance
Album: I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love
Genre: Alternative Rock
Year: 2002It's interesting to know that punkers also have feelings and are sensitives. I thought once that they were just made up my anger and hate. Here is the proof, playing a classical guitar song (I can't remember it's name...dammit! but it's very known).

Taku Iwasaki - Sound of snow falling
Song: Sound of snow falling
Artist: Taku Iwasaki
Album: Rurouni Kenshin - Tsuioku Hen
Genre: Soundtrack, Orchestral
Year: 2001I think I am a very lucky man for being the owner of this soundtrack. Only those who follow anime movies know it (and I guess not all of them pay as much attention to soundtracks as I do) but everyone should know this piece. It should be placed on Essential Music you should listen at least once, eaven though you are not fond of orchestral music. The tracks by themselves are already explendorous, but when you listen them at the movie you realize how much Taku Iwasaki is able to reflect the emotions that are shown each time. I just can take mine's hat off if front of his brilliance.

MUSE - Apocalypse Please
Song: Apocalypse Please
Artist: MUSE
Album: Absolution
Genre: Alternative Rock
Year: 2004MUSE it's my favourite group. I have no doubt about it. Why? Love at first sight it's the phrase that describes it the best. Their composing hability has no frontiers (one time you're relaxed listening the most melodramatic and painfull song and the next track has such an explosive tempo and powerful sound that you are fancy of breaking some windows using the chair you were sitting in), Matthew Bellamy is just virtuosity (his voice....his guitar....but above all his piano), .... I could never stop!

Remy Zero - Fair
Song: Fair
Artist: Remy Zero
Album: Villa Elaine
Genre: Alternative Rock
Year: 1998It's interesting why this group appears on soundtracks so much (this song is at Garden Statetoo and, for example, Save me is at Smallville Season One). I guess it's because they have the skills for composing catchy songs. This time, it's not the fac because this song is quite sad...

Damien Rice - The Blower's Daughter
Song: The Blower's Daughter
Artist: Damien Rice
Album: O
Genre: Folk
Year: 2003Love? Sadness? Some pain on the heart? Then you are at the perfect moment for listening this. Incredible work of art by Damien Rice. I would like to post the hole album 'cause it's a really five stars composition but I've posted this one 'cause maybe it's the most known (it was used on Closer soundtrack). Please, take a look at I remember, Delicate, Volcano and Canonball too and if they don't seduce you then... check your soul.

La Sonrisa de Julia - Llevo tu voz
Song: Llevo tu voz
Artist: La sonrisa de Julia
Album: Caminos Diferentes
Genre: Pop Rock, Spanish
Year: 2004I don't use to pay much attention to spanish charts 'cause I don't like too much spanish pop-rock music (on the last years it has been only songs with a high comercial purpose) and that's why sometimes I miss some artists who realy worth being listend, like this group. I've been reading some critics on the web and some consider them as the spanish Coldplay (maybe an excessive qualication).

Year: 1996Lovely young woman jazz songwriter... soft and strong at the same time, new but timeless too.. and a song that you just can't miss! This is one of those songs that I don't know how they appeared on my music library (there are quite some of them) but that I really appreciate it happened.

Genre: Orchestral, Coral
Year: 2005E.S.Posthumus should be considered as the most succesfull trailer's tracks and tv themes composer nowadays (I guess there's no doubt about it). Just listen his new (and first) album to join the community of big fans. I have no words to describe this artist. Wow!

Song: Colorblind
Artist: Counting Crows
Album: This Desert Life
Genre: Alternative Rock
Year: 1999If you have nothing about this group, I guess it's time for you to discover them. Get Films about ghosts, their last album, where you'll find all their known songs (most of them will sound you quite familiar). I wanted to post this one as an example, which might be not very known but I love it due to it's simplicity and lyrics (I took his name to be the title of one of my playlists...)

Orgy - Blue Monday
Song: Blue Monday
Artist: Orgy
Album: Candyass
Genre: Alternative Rock
Year: 1998The truth is that I don't like this album at all (it's true...) except this track. It's a good rock version of Underworld's classic track (one of those many songs that stired up the history of electronic music). Full of energy and with some huge guitars explosions.

Joe Cocker - You Are So Beautiful
Song: You Are So Beautiful
Artist: Joe Cocker
Album: I Can Stand a Little Rain
Genre: Rock
Year: 1995How can such a simple song be so emotional? You just have to join some great piano composition and the incredible Joe Cocker's hoarsed voice and the result can't be more convincent. Moreover, if you can help all that with some sweet violins the final outcome is unbelievable! One of my favourites love songs ever.

Artist: Spencer Davis Group
Album: Gimme Some Lovin'
Genre: Rock
Year: 2001Who hasn't heard this song? I am not able enough to count how many times it has appeared on the big screen as part of a film soundtrack. And the most amazing thing is that everytime you listened it your feet suddenly start moving with it's rhythm.
The date of the album is due to a new remastered edition. The song is from 1967

Artist: Portishead
Album: Dummy
Genre: Alternative Rock, Trip-Hop
Year: 1994This album was published eleven years ago and I've discovered it today! I have to give thanks to a friend (Diego) for letting me know about it. It reminds me to Massive Attack too much but it's a pure sensuality work.
The truth is when I listened this song for the first time a bell rang on me... and now I've discovered why: it's used on Alfa Romeo 159 new tv spot.

Tim Buckley - Blue Melody
Song: Blue Melody
Artist: Tim Buckley
Album: Blue Afternoon
Genre: Folk Rock
Year: 1970I think it's amazing how many similarities exists between Tim Buckley and his son, Jeff Buckley (not only physical but on their essence too). You just have to listen a little bit to realize how much they resemble one to the other: how they sing, their expresions,... but the most strange thing is that Jeff never met his father (Tim died on 1975) so everything has to do with genes!!
